Dana received and maintains her national certification from the American Speech and Language Association - the Certificate of Clinical Competence. She is also a licensed speech-language pathologist by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Dana graduated Suma Cum Laude from New York University, receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Psychological Studies. Immediately following graduation, she attended Emerson College's Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, where she received her Masters of Science in Speech-Language Pathology. After completing her graduate education, Dana worked at Mystic Valley Early Intervention in the Winchester, Massachusetts area treating children ages birth - 3 years of age. She then moved to Los Angeles, California for four years where she worked in a private practice setting providing therapy for children ages 1 year - 18 years. Upon her return to Massachusetts, Dana worked at the multidisciplinary clinic, Occupational Therapy Associates-Wakefield while she simultaneously began her private practice. At this time, she still works one afternoon each week at OTA-Wakefield and spends the rest of her time developing and working in her own practice.

In addition to evaluating and treating children with communication disorders, Dana also enjoys leading workshops and providing professional inservices to local early childhood centers and preschools.
